SHIPPING POLICY

Thank you for shopping with Layered Midwest 3D Design Studio, LLC! This Shipping Policy explains our shipping methods, costs, and timelines.
1. Shipping Locations
1.1 Domestic Shipping
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii.
1.2 International Shipping
We do not currently offer international shipping. We may expand to international shipping in the future.
1.3 P.O. Boxes
We can ship to P.O. Boxes via USPS. However, some carriers cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, so please provide a physical address if possible.
2. Processing Time
2.1 Retail Products (In-Stock Items)
Processing time: 1-3 business days
2.2 Made-to-Order Products
Processing time: 2-5 weeks (as indicated on product page). You will receive an email when your order enters production. You will receive tracking information when your order ships.
2.3 Custom Design Projects
Processing time: 2-5 weeks (varies by project complexity)
Timeline established in Custom Design Service Agreement.
You will be notified throughout the design and production process.
2.4 Holidays and Weekends
Processing times do not include weekends or holidays. Orders placed on Friday after 2 PM CST will be processed the following Monday.
3. Shipping Methods & Costs
3.1 Available Shipping Options
-Standard Shipping (USPS Priority Mail)
Delivery: 5-7 business days
-Expedited Shipping (USPS Priority Mail Express)
Delivery: 2-3 business days
-Local Pickup (Arcola, IL area)
Cost: FREE
Available by appointment
Please select "Local Pickup" at checkout, and we'll contact you to arrange a pickup time.
3.2 Shipping Costs
Calculated based on package weight and destination. Displayed at checkout before payment.
3.3 Large or Heavy Items
Some custom or large items may require special shipping:
-Freight shipping costs are calculated individually.
-You will be notified before processing if additional shipping charges apply.
-We will always contact you for approval before charging extra shipping.
4. Delivery Time
Total Delivery Time = Processing Time + Transit Time
Example:
In-stock retail item + standard shipping = 1-3 days processing + 5-7 days transit = 6-10 days total
Made-to-order item + standard shipping = 2-5 weeks processing + 5-7 days transit
5. Order Tracking
5.1 Tracking Information
You will receive tracking information via email once your order ships. Track your package at usps.com or through the carrier's website. Contact us if you don't receive tracking within 3 business days of order placement (for in-stock items).
5.2 Order Status
Check your order status:
-Log in to your account at layeredmidwest.com
-Email us at info@layeredmidwest.com with your order number
6. Shipping Address
6.1 Accuracy
Please ensure your shipping address is correct. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
6.2 Address Changes
Contact us immediately at info@layeredmidwest.com if you need to change your shipping address. Once shipped, we cannot change the address.
6.3 Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address:
-We will contact you to confirm the correct address
-You may be charged for reshipping
7. Delivery Issues
7.1 Lost Packages
If your package is marked as delivered but you haven't received it:
1. Check with household members or neighbors
2. Check all possible delivery locations (porch, mailbox, etc.)
3. Wait 24 hours (sometimes marked delivered early)
4. Contact the carrier (use tracking number)
5. Contact us if still missing after 48 hours
We will work with you to resolve the issue, including filing a claim with the carrier if necessary.
7.2 Damaged Packages
If your package arrives damaged:
1. Take photos of the damaged packaging
2. Inspect the contents and photograph any damage
3. Contact us within 7 days at info@layeredmidwest.com
4. We will arrange for replacement or refund
7.3 Delays
While rare, shipping delays can occur due to:
-Weather conditions
-Carrier delays
-Holidays
-High-volume periods
-We are not responsible for carrier delays, but we will work with you to resolve any issues.
8. Insurance
8.1 Included Insurance
All shipments are insured for their full value at no additional cost to you.
8.2 Claims Process
If your package is lost or damaged in transit, we will:
1. File a claim with the carrier
2. Replace your item or issue a refund
3. Handle all communication with the carrier
9. Signature Confirmation
9.1 Standard Orders
Signature confirmation is not required for standard orders unless:
-Order value exceeds $200
-Customer requests it (additional fee may apply)
9.2 High-Value Orders
Orders over $200 automatically include signature confirmation for your protection.
10. Multiple Items
10.1 Combined Shipping
Multiple items ordered together are shipped in one package when possible to reduce shipping costs.
10.2 Separate Shipments
Sometimes items may ship separately due to:
-Different processing times
-Items from different locations
-Size/weight restrictions
-You will receive separate tracking information for each shipment.
11. Backorders
If an item is temporarily out of stock:
We will notify you via email. You can choose to wait for a restock or cancel that item. You will not be charged for backordered items until they ship
12. Order Modification
12.1 Before Shipping
Contact us immediately to modify your order:

We will do our best to accommodate changes, but we cannot guarantee modifications once processing has begun.
12.2 After Shipping
Once shipped, orders cannot be modified. You may return the item per our Return Policy.
13. Shipping Restrictions
We cannot ship:
Outside the United States
Certain items to P.O. Boxes (large items)
14. Peak Season Shipping
During peak seasons (holidays, special promotions):
-Processing times may be extended by 2-3 business days
-Carrier transit times may be longer
-We will post updates on our website
-Order early to ensure timely delivery
