RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At Layered Midwest 3D Design Studio, LLC, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains our policies regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.
1. Retail Products (Pre-Made Items)
1.1 Return Window
You may return eligible products within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
1.2 Eligible Returns
To be eligible for a return, items must:
-Be in original, unused condition
-Include all original packaging and materials
-Not be damaged or modified
-Include proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
1.3 Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
-Custom-designed products (see Section 2 below)
-Personalized or made-to-order items
-Items marked as "Final Sale."
-Gift cards
-Downloadable digital products
1.4 Return Process
To initiate a return:
1. Contact us at support@layeredmidwest.com within 30 days of delivery
2. Provide your order number and reason for return
3. We will provide return authorization and shipping instructions
4. Ship the item back to us using a trackable shipping method
5. Include a copy of your receipt or order confirmation

1.5 Return Shipping Costs
Defective or incorrect items: We pay return shipping
Change of mind/buyer's remorse: Customer pays return shipping
We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance.
1.6 Refund Processing
Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the item was defective/incorrect).
Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
2. Custom Design Products
2.1 No Returns on Custom Work
Custom-designed products created specifically for you are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has begun, except in cases of:
-Manufacturing defects
-Significant deviation from approved design specifications
-Damage during shipping (if we shipped the item)
2.2 Approval Process
You will have the opportunity to review and approve designs before production begins. Once you approve the design and production starts, the order cannot be canceled or returned.
2.3 Defective Custom Products
If your custom product has a manufacturing defect or doesn't match the approved specifications:
1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery
2. Provide photos of the defect or deviation
3. We will evaluate and, if warranted, remake the product at no additional cost
2.4 Design Revisions
Design revisions are included as specified in your Custom Design Service Agreement. Additional revisions beyond the agreed amount may incur extra charges.
3. Damaged or Defective Items
3.1 Inspection Upon Delivery
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If you receive a damaged or defective item:
1. Take photos of the damage/defect and packaging
2. Contact us within 7 days of delivery
3. Email photos to info@layeredmidwest.com
4. We will arrange for replacement or refund
3.2 Our Responsibility
We will replace or refund damaged or defective items at no cost to you, including return shipping.
4. Incorrect Items
If you receive an incorrect item:
1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery
2. We will send the correct item immediately
3. We will provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect item
4. No additional charges will apply

5. Order Cancellations
5.1 Retail Products
You may cancel your order for retail products:
-Before shipping: Full refund, no fees
-After shipping: Subject to standard return policy
To cancel, email info@layeredmidwest.com with your order number.
5.2 Custom Orders
Custom order cancellations are subject to our Cancellation Policy (see separate document).
6. Refund Methods
Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. We do not offer cash refunds or store credit unless requested. Gift card purchases are non-refundable.
7. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received your refund after 10 business days:
1. Check your bank account or credit card statement
2. Contact your credit card company (processing may take time)
3. Contact your bank
4. If you've done all of this and still haven't received your refund, contact us at

8. Sale Items
Items purchased on sale or clearance are subject to this same return policy unless marked "Final Sale."
9. International Returns
We currently only ship within the United States. International customers (if we expand) are responsible for all return shipping costs and any customs fees.
10. Restocking Fee
We do not charge restocking fees for standard returns.
11. Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us, and we'll work with you to make it right.
